Inter were finally able to reach their first Champions League Group F victory. Tonight the Nerazzurks prevailed 2-0 over Borussia Dortmund in their home run of Giuseppe Meazza. Both teams made an interesting match, and the guests had their options. However, the Nerazzuras were more accurate in the final phase and with goals by Lautaro Martinez in the 22nd and Antonio Kandreva in the 89th minute, they pulled out three points. The home side missed out on a win after Martinez missed a penalty in the 83rd minute.

Sancho was found near the goal, but his shot was not too good and with a concerted effort by Brozovic and Kandreva the ball was cleared in front of the goal line.
In the 82nd minute Inter organized a quick counterattack, Sebastiano Esposito was stunned for a penalty shootout by Mats Humels, but Lautaro Martinez`s shot was saved by Roman Burke. The Argentine had another chance to make up two minutes later when he advanced with a ball in his foot, but he was unable to break free from his direct guard and his shot did not hamper the keeper.
In the 89th minute, the Italians organized a new awesome counter. Antonio Kandreva advanced on the right wing and with a powerful shot left no chance for the goalkeeper to make it 2:0. With this success Inter already have 4 points as much as Borussia. The Nerazzurrs, however, overtook their rivals in the standings, coming in 2nd, while the Germans came in 3rd. The leader is Barcelona with 7 points.
